DIY Vanity - Penteadeira Faça Você Mesma

Even though I am not as into makeup as Luana, I always wanted a vanity, I thought that maybe this would change my routine a bit and it would make me want to do my makeup more often.

We had a computer table that was not being used (bougt at Ikea) so I decided to make it usable for my needs and at the end it worked out really well!

Mesmo não sendo tão vaidosa quanto a Luana, eu sempre quis ter uma penteadeira… eu achava que isso mudaria um pouco os meus hábitos e talvez eu me produziria mais… e até que essa idéia me ajudou!!

Nós tínhamos uma mesa de computador que estava sem uso (comprada no Ikea, que é uma loja bem parecida com a Tok Stok), resolvi adaptá-la de acordo com as minhas necessidades… e no final, funcionou super bem!

To organize the drawers, I went to Target  and bought two divided fabric trays.  The smaller one was used to organize my hair accessories, such as hair elastics and clips, everything well separated.  After that I started to organize my makeup, I used the bigger tray and some of the tops from boxes that my watches came in.  I separated all the eyeliners, eyeshadows, mascaras, blushes, lipsticks, everything and you can imagine how this helped me.  By doing this I noticed that I had makeup that I was not even using because I could not remember where it was!

Para organizar as gavetas, eu fui até o Target e comprei duas divisórias…  a menorzinha foi usada para organizar os acessórios de cabelo: presilhas, elásticos, piranhas... tudo bem separadinho. Depois, comecei a arrumar as maquiagens; usei a divisória maior e algumas tampas das caixas dos meus relógios... separei lápis, sombras, rímeis, blushes, batons, tudo o que você possa imaginar e isso me ajudou MUITO!!! Percebi que tinham coisas que eu nem usava porque não lembrava que eu tinha!!!

You can also use little boxes that you get when you buy jewelry, watches and sunglasses as dividers or buy dividers at the dollar store.  I recycled a box that one of my watches came in by using it for my brushes.  On top of the vanity I found a special place for it, I put some beads inside the box so that my brushes could stand in there.  I copied the style from Sephora, you can also use coffee beans or little rocks that are used to put in a fish tank.

*Tip: I bought a pink set of brushes from Coast Scents, really inexpensive and the quality is excellent!

Você também pode usar caixinhas de jóias, relógios e óculos como divisórias ou comprar divisórias nas lojas de 1 dólar (ou se for no Brasil, nas lojas de R$1,99).... Eu reciclei a caixa do meu relógio para colocar os pincéis. E em cima da prateleira, arrumei um lugar bem especial para os pincéis; dentro da caixa, coloquei dois saquinhos de miçangas para que os pincéis ficassem em pé... copiei o estilo da organização da Sephora... você pode trocar as miçangas por grãos de café, bolinhas de fazer bijoux, pedrinhas de aquário...

*Dica: comprei um conjunto de pincéis (rosas) no site da Coast Scents, baratinho e de excelente qualidade!

  

I also found some space to organize my beauty products and perfumes!

Ainda achei espaço para organizar meus produtos de beleza e perfumes!

To maximize the space, instead of using a chair, I used a little stool that opens and I used the inside to put hair tools.

E para aproveitar o espaço, ao invés de colocar um banquinho ou uma cadeira, comprei um puff baú e aproveitei para guardar dentro dele todos os meus produtos e equipamentos para cabelo.

Now, if you have bit more of casho to spend, it is worth investing in a vanity from Vanity Girl Hollywood, the Kardashians have them at their Dash New York store, in their VIP makeup area.

Agora se você tiver um trocadinho a mais, vale a pena investir nas penteadeiras da Vanity Girl Hollywood... as mesmas que a Dash (loja das Kardashians) usa  para na área de maquiagem VIP em Nova York.
