The 2012 Olympics is taking place in London and nothing better than the help of an English that lives in London to know what are the best things to do in the city during the games. Thanks to our great friend, Harry Green!!
Besides the must see tourist places such as the Big Ben, London Eye, Buckingham Palace and various others, if you happen to be in London you can not miss going to the beautiful stores on Oxford Street, Knightsbridge and Bond Street.
To watch the games a great place is a sports bar, the one recommended is Frankies, near the Chelsea stadium (our favorite soccer team, haha). There is also the option of watching the games a London pub such as Nicholson's, taking advantage that from there you have a view of the Tower Bridge that now is decorated with Olympic rings! The location of this pub is an outstanding one, near the Thames River near HMS Belfast, which is an old war ship that is anchored there, it is worth a visit.
Another place you have to visit is Europe's tallest high riser, shaped like a glass pyramid, The Shard, while there take the time to explore the three full floors of restaurants and enjoy a meal while taking in the amazing view.
For those looking to do something more exciting and party like, Hyde Park, is the place to be. Festivals and free shows are offered there, the Olympic Games will be televised on big screens. Another big tip from Harry is that at the subway stations (tube for them), officers and Olympic helpers are giving maps of the city. Beside that, all the stations are well marked showing which games will be occurring in the given subway stop. Hard to get

Os jogos olímpicos de 2012 têm sede em Londres e nada melhor do que a ajuda de um inglês que mora em Londres para saber o que fazer na cidade durante os jogos olímpicos . Obrigada ao nosso grande amigo, Harry Green!!!
Além dos pontos turísticos, como o Big Ben, London Eye (Roda Gigante), Palácio de Buckingham, entre tantos outros, quem estiver por lá não pode deixar de visitar as lindíssimas lojas da Oxford Street, Knightsbridge e Bond Street.
Para assistir aos jogos um ótimo lugar é um sports bar e o lugar indicado é o Frankies, perto do estádio do Chelsea (nosso time de futebol favorito, hehe). Também há a opção de assistir aos jogos em um pub londrino, o Nicholson's, aproveitando que de lá dá para visualizar a Tower Bridge que agora está enfeitada com os anéis olímpicos! A localização desse pub é privilegiada, este pub está à beira do rio Thames perto do HMS Belfast, que é um velho navio de guerra que ali está ancorado, vale a pena fazer a visita.
Outro lugar que não se pode deixar de ir é o arranha-céu mais alto da Europa, em forma de pirâmide, todo revestido de vidro, The Shard, e dentro do prédio aproveite para visitar os 3 andares de restaurantes e saborear a sua comida enquanto admira a vista estupenda.
Para quem quer agitação, o Hyde Park oferece festivais e shows gratuitos e os jogos estarão sendo transmitidos nos telões . E outra super dica do Harry foi que nas estações de metrô (para eles, tube) os policiais e os ajudantes olímpicos estão entregando mapas da cidade, além das estações serem bem sinalizadas mostrando quais jogos estarão ocorrendo na determinada saída do metrô. Difícil de se perder!
