Chanel's Haute Couture show for their Fall/Winter 2012 on July 3rd the border nail was showcased and it has been a world wide hit ever since. The idea is to paint the outer part of the nail with one color and use another color to give it a contrast by covering the middle and nail tip with it.
The border nail is a technique that requires a lot of coordination by using a small brush, so we did a lot of research and we found out that most people are using some store bought nail strips (you can buy it at Sephora, Walgreens or CVS) to achieve the look. All you need to do is to apply the nail by following the instructions (silver and gold nail strips give an amazing look) and after the application you just need to paint your nails with a different color (leaving a border all around the nail showing the strip). It is easier to clean and make the perfect border when you apply the nail strip. Here are few ideas that we saw... did you guys like them?

A idéia é pintar a parte de fora da unha com um esmalte e usar um outro esmalte para dar um contraste e cobrir o centro e a ponta da unha.
A border nail é uma unha contornada e o traço é feito com um pincel bem fininho. Como essa técnica exige muita coordenação, pesquisamos bastante e descobrimos que a maioria das pessoas estão usando bolinhas para fazer a borda ou misturando adesivos e esmalte… para fazer isso, é só aplicar os adesivos em todas as unhas (a venda na Sephora, Walgreens or CVS) seguindo a direção da caixa - prata e dourado ficam LINDOS - e depois, com o esmalte, pintar o centro e as pontas da unha… fica muito mais fácil para limpar e fazer o contorno perfeito quando você usa o adesivo.
