The Greek Islands Taverna

Hummm just thinking about this restaurant it makes mouth water.  The Greek Islands Taverna is my favorite Greek restaurant is south Florida, there is never a time when my husband suggests that we go there that I do not agree.  He was the one that introduced me to this delicious restaurant and it has become really one of my favorite restaurants.  I have never had a bad experience there, the food is always perfect.  I have tried different things on the menu, but out of every 9 out of 10 times I go there, I end up getting the same thing, the lamb chops.  The lamb chops is char broiled and perfectly seasoned with lemon, oregano and olive oil.  It comes with patates ladoregano (roasted potatoes with lemon, oregano & olive oil) and veggies.  I love the lemony taste of their food, if you enjoy this kind of seasoning, you must try it!! While you are waiting for your meal, they will serve you homemade hummus with Italian bread and also a whole wheat bread, it is very good.  By the time I get my food, I have usually devoured the whole plate of hummus, haha!  If you are ever in Fort Lauderdale, give it a try, it has never disappointed me.

Hummm só de pensar nesse restaurante, eu fico com água na boca. O The Greek Islands Taverna é o meu restaurante grego favorito no sul da Flórida, não tem uma vez que o meu marido me fala pra gente ir lá que eu não concordo. Foi ele quem me apresentou a este delicioso restaurante e agora é um dos meus favoritos. Eu nunca tive uma experiência ruim lá, a comida é sempre perfeita. Eu provei coisas diferentes no menu, mas quase todas as vezes que eu vou lá, eu acabo pedindo a mesma coisa, as costeletas de cordeiro assadas na brasa, temperadas com limão, orégano e azeite de oliva. O acompanhamento é patates ladoregano (batatas assadas com limão, orégano e azeite de oliva) e legumes. Eu amo o sabor do limão nas comidas, se você gosta deste tipo de tempero, você tem que experimentar! Enquanto você espera a sua refeição ficar pronta, eles servem humus caseiro com pão italiano e também pão integral, é muito bom. Na hora que meu prato chega, eu normalmente já devorei o humus, haha! Se você passar por Fort Lauderdale, passe por lá pois eu nunca me desapontei.
